Okinawan
Karate Club of Springfield is a traditional martial arts school. The
school features classical Okinawan Martial Arts that is taught by
internationally certified black belt instructors. The Okinawan style of
karate is especially suited for practical self-defense. Ancestral Okinawan
weapons are used to enhance empty-handed skills and keep the art of
Okinawan Kobudo (weapons) alive.
Combined with the teaching of martial art skills, mental and physical growth is emphasized. Each class syllabus is developed to reinforce previous concepts and introduce new ideas. While presenting challenges, every class is designed to be fun. The goal of the Okinawan Karate Club of Springfield is to teach practical Martial Arts skills, and just as importantly, instill self-confidence and foster discipline among the students that they can take with them outside of the dojo. Traditional family values are reinforced in the school, and family participation is encouraged. Okinawan Karate Club is affiliated with the All Okinawan Shorin Ryu Karate and Kobudo Federation located in Okinawa, Japan. The ancient art is fostered and handed down under the leadership of Grand Master Fusei Kise. |
