Dave
Fasig
Dave began studying
karate in 1969 and achieved black belt rank in 1971. He has been
teaching karate in the Springfield area since 1973. Dave is a
7th
degree black belt in the Okinawan Shorin Ryu style of karate.
Dave is no armchair black belt.
He believes in teaching by example. His relaxed and friendly
manner puts new students at ease. Dave is often the cheerleader of
the group, coaxing the best out of everybody.
Dave also holds black belt rank
in Tae Kwon Do and Shudo Kan, and has studied Ju Jitsu, Judo and
Kung Fu. He is an experienced full contact fighter and has
personally trained over 50 quality black belts.

Be the type of person who earns respect. Not one who
demands respect.

Ed Smith
Ed began studying Shudo Kan
karate in 1982 and obtained his black belt in 1989. As a
brown belt and after obtaining his black belt, he assisted in
teaching classes in Rochester and Springfield. He is a
4th
degree black belt and is the senior teacher at the Springfield
dojo. |

Mike
Flatt
Mike started studying Shudo Kan
karate in 1988 and received his black belt in 1995. Mike has
competed in sport Karate at the local, state, regional and
national levels. He is a 4th degree black belt
and teaches class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. |

Tim
McCoy
Tim has began studying the
martial arts in 1981. After taking several breaks, Tim began
studying under Sensei Fasig. Now a 1st degree black
belt, Tim quotes Master Hohan Soken: "Training is on a
continuous basis, and one learns a little at a time. Do not
take breaks in training as it will result in a step backwards." |
